Leigh Farm Cottages

Welcome to Leigh Farm Cottages: three characterful self-catering holiday cottages sleeping 2, 4 and 6 in a peaceful situation in the Teign Valley, just within Dartmoor National Park.

Location

Leigh Farm Cottages are ideally located for those who enjoy rural tranquillity, but prefer not to venture too far along single-track lanes. Near to Bovey Tracey, Chudleigh, Hennock and Trusham, the cottages are also within easy reach of the renowned beaches of the “English Riviera” and South Hams; the bustling cities of Exeter and Plymouth; and the moorland scenery and towns of Dartmoor.

Attractions

There is a wealth of National Trust, English Heritage and similar properties within an hour’s drive, as well as botanical gardens and nature reserves; while local fairs and festivals abound in the surrounding area. There are plenty of opportunities nearby for outdoor pursuits, of both coastal and countryside varieties.

Surroundings

For those who would prefer to relax on site, Leigh Farm itself offers almost 60 acres of undulating farmland to explore, mostly laid to pasture for sheep (and our three adorable alpacas), with views of the Teign Valley and up to Dartmoor. There is an old orchard with many traditional local apple varieties, and a small wood which is carpeted with bluebells for a short season in Spring. 

Amenities

Our informal gardens, with their watercourse and ponds, provide a haven for wildlife. Outdoor seating areas and barbecue facilities are provided for guests to enjoy the surroundings and sunshine. For less sunny days, each cottage is equipped with a woodburner and a selection of books, DVDs and indoor games. The cottages have central heating and WiFi.
